Chapter 1: The Mystery begins
The wind howled through the trees, bustling
leaves all around the damp night time streets of Zandulia. Zandulia had once
been one of the most peaceful planets in all of the Rolak galaxy, filled with
happy joyful people who never fought, never made conflict and was at the highest
of beauty. But now Zandulia had become a dark, lonely place riddled with thieves
and villains.
There was not a person in sight or a sound to be heard, as
suddenly a a slow distant wheezing noise began to get louder and louder until it
ended with a low satisfying boom.
"Hurry up Peri, we're going to miss
it!" The Doctor shouted back into his TARDIS.
"Miss what?" Peri wearily
replied.
"Oh just hurry up, don't be such a spoil sport" The Doctor
moaned.
The Doctor is a Time-Lord from the planet Gallifrey, he has two
hearts and travels in Time and Space in his TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimensions
In Space. His companion, Peri, is a human from the planet earth and accompanies
The Doctor on his adventures.
"Doctor, where are we?" exclaimed Peri.
"We are in Zandulia, known for its amazing sights, and its peaceful..."
The Doctor stopped mid-sentence as he finally turned around to see the
monstrosity of his surroundings.
"You were saying?" Peri smugly asked.
The Doctor just stared out into the darkness of the street. "Doctor?" Peri
worriedly said.
"Quiet!" He firmly whispered, still staring down the
street.
"What..."
"Get in the TARDIS Peri, NOW!" At that moment a
dark figure pounced out of the pure blackness and into the dimly lit street
towards the Doctor and Peri. The Doctor shoved Peri through the wooden doors of
the TARDIS as he to dashed for the safety of its pristine white interior. With
one flick of a switch the TARDIS dematerialised.
"Doctor, what was that?"
Peri exclaimed.
"I'm not to sure" He replied.
"I know you're
lying"
"Well. quite often lying seems to keep you safe. Anyway we need
to go back in time to when Zandulia was its normal self, just before what ever
made it how it is now."
"So we can find out what happened?" Peri
asked.
"Exactly!" said the Doctor fiddling with the console. "Next stop,
Zandulia!"
Chapter 2: Bird of Death
The slow morning breeze blew
throughout the high peaked mountains of Athens. All was calm and quiet on the
beautiful summer day until at 7:00am things were about to go very wrong. The
people of Athens slept quietly in their homes, only few were awake on the fields
or opening stalls. John was making breakfast for his family when suddenly, on
the distant hill he saw a small boy frantically running and screaming. John
dropped the bowl of fruit and dashed towards the boy.
"What boy, what is
it?" John cried.
"Its a Bird!"
"A bird?"
"Yes a bird, a
bird of death!" screamed the boy. John looked up and at that moment a large
silver streamlined spaceship came tumbling down towards them. That was the last
thing John ever saw.
Chapter 3: Zandulia?
"Here we are!" claimed
the Doctor.
"The right place this time?" Peri wearily asked.
"Of
course, when ever do I let you down"
"Well..."
"Come on, work to
be done" The Doctor interrupted, walking outside.
As the Doctor and Peri
stepped outside beauty surrounded them. The blazing sun was like a blast of pure
love and the long meadow that spread out before them seemed like a never ending
paradise. The fresh morning dew sparkled in the sunlight like tiny little
crystals. "Doctor what is that?" exclaimed Peri, rushing towards a patch of the
lush green grass. "Its so odd... But beautiful" she continued. "That is dew my
dear girl, would of thought you would recognise it” The Doctor said. "Well I
would, apart from the fact that it happens to be bright orange!" Peri claimed.
"Of course what other colour would it be?" "Oh I give up" Peri wearily
groaned.
The Doctor and Peri continued on down the beautiful meadow and
the Doctor educated Peri on the planet Zandulia. After a while they came to a
small village on a hillside. "Where is this?" "Im not to sure..." The Doctor
replied. Off in the distance they heard a loud marching sound, it grew louder
and louder and soon became almost un bearable "What's that!" Peri shouted over
the noise. At that moment a large army of Athenians marched over the hill
towards the village. "Well there is your answer. Come on!" The Doctor shouted as
he began to run towards the village. "Here we go..." Peri moaned. As they sped
towards the fierce army it grew closer and closer to the village. It looked so
small and feeble compared to the large army of bloodthirsty Athenians. "Hurry up
Peri, we will enter round the side!" The Doctor cried over all the noise. When
they finally arrived at the small side entrance the Athenians were almost at the
village holding there pin pointed swords as deadly as an angry rattlesnake.
"Quick Doctor, do something!" Peri cried. The Doctor dashed towards the main
entrance right in front of the
oncoming army. "EXCUSE ME!" The Doctor
shouted. The Athenians stopped exactly where they were. "Wow... That actually
worked..." Peri whispered to herself. "Now, before you continue on your
'terrifying' rampage let me ask you one question, how exactly did you get here"
asked the Doctor. "I mean its not really normal for an army of Athenians from
Ancient Greece to be wandering around a distant alien planet" he continued. "No
matter invading an empty village!" at that moment a young Athenian boy came to
the front. "Empty!" he shouted. "Yes, empty" The Doctor answered as he raised
his Sonic Screwdriver towards the sky. At the push of a button the tip made a
quiet whirring sound and all of a sudden a massive Silver spaceship engulfed the
sky blocking out the sun. All the screaming citizens of the village fuzzed away
into nothing and all the Athenians stared up at the overwhelming ship above
them. "See, empty" The Doctor simply said.
Chapter 4: A New
Evil
"Doctor what is that!" Peri cried. "I guess we are going to find
out" the Doctor calmly replied. All of a sudden two small Transmat pads appeared
on the floor in front of them. "Quick get on!, before they all change!"
exclaimed the booming speaker. All of a sudden a terrible scream of pain was let
out from the middle of the Athenians. They broke apart from each other like a
glass vase hitting concrete, breaking apart in each direction. A 20 year old man
lay on the floor squirming viciously as his clean pale skin became torn,
wrinkled and mouldy. Soon this began to happened to the others. "Time to go!"
The Doctor claimed. "You don't have to tell me twice!" Peri replied. They both
stood on the Transmat pads and instantly disappeared into a hazy fuzz
reappearing in the cargo room of the Spaceship. They were instantly met by a
smart looking man dressed in royal like doorman clothes. "Hello, Im Jahmakal, or
Jak if you prefer. Welcome to the Spaceship Zax. Please, follow me, I will show
you to your rooms." "Nice welcome" The Doctor whispered to Peri as they followed
Jak down the royal like corridor.
"Doctor you seem all very calm about
this" "That is because I know what's going on. Well an inkling" "Oh please
tell!" Peri demanded "All in good time Peri" At the end of the corridor there
was a small door which led into a large beautiful hall. It was made of the
finest marble in the galaxy and hand carved by no other than Vincent Van Gogh
III. "Wow its so amazing" Peri gasped. "Right this way" Jak said as he led them
towards a large wooden door covered in red velvet. "Here is your room, only the
best for our guests" Jak declared "Thank you kind sir but when will we meet the
mastermind behind the operation?" The Doctor asked. "On the morrow" "I do thank
you Jak" "No problem at all" Jak replied as he formally strolled off out of the
grand hall. "Well come on Peri lets get some rest" "Agreed" Peri replied.
Chapter 5: The Mastermind revealed
The Doctor sat slumped in his
chair fiddling around angrily with a yo-yo. "Doctor, what are you doing" Peri
sleepy asked sitting up in her bed.
"Trying to fix this yo-yo, the
string seems to be stuck..." he answered as he tugged on the string, evidently
annoyed. At that moment he pulled angrily on the string snapping it in two. "Oh
dear..." The Doctor said as Peri tried to keep her laughter in. "Oh well, we
better go find Jak. He said to meet him in the Grand hall." "Ok, just let me get
dressed" Peri replied.
As they both stepped out into the grand hall they
saw a beautiful array of dancers, moving around almost silently on the stage as
the watching crowd stood in awe. "I guess we're not the only 'guests' here" Peri
whispered to the Doctor. "Apparently" he replied. In the corner Jak caught the
Doctors eye, politely signalling them to approach. "Come along Peri" The Doctor
said, walking towards Jak. "Hello kind sir, I believe you wanted to meet my
Master" Jak politely asked. "That is correct" The Doctor replied. "Right this
way then sir" Jak led the Doctor and Peri through a side door into a stairwell.
They continued up the stairs until they arrived at a large blue door. "Just
through here" Jak said as he signalled them towards the Door. The Three entered
into a large wooden parlour, carefully decorated with pristine paintings. "I see
you’re a fan of Van Gough III" The Doctor politely stated. "You have a keen eye"
A gruff voice replied as the chair in the corner swerved round to reveal a large
grotesque man. He had rotting skin and mouldy strands of dirty grey hair growing
from his round dirty head. "Doctor! He is like the Athenians outside" Peri
screamed. "Its ok my dear girl, i have been cured. I am as healthy as I can
possibly be" The Gruff man said. "but this appearance is the curse I carry due
to that rotten... terrible disease" he continued. "As we can see" The Doctor
stated. "I assume you once had the disease then" "Yes I did..." the man replied.
"Well I'm truly sorry but may I ask you a question. How exactly did an Army of
Athenians end up in Zandulia?" The Doctor asked. "Well..." than man
began.

"It all began in
Athens, planet Earth..." We were orbiting the planet while we repaired the ship,
just some simple engineering nothing
much. All at once Space Pirates came
into our view and began a vicious attack. We tried to defend ourselves but they
were to overwhelming. We began to fall out the sky, rapidly dropping closer and
closer to the ground as fire engulfed us. The crew were running around screaming
for their lives while I tried to fly the ship, but it was no good. While I was
busy some Pirates snuck on board and let out a deadly virus called Gantronovak.
Jak's race is immune to such a thing so he managed to revive me with the last of
the cure. Finally the ship crashed in Athens, Greece where the virus was let
out. Jak managed to contain it to Athens but all were infected. We were forced
to take them to the nearest planet we could reach that was empty. The ship was
repaired in Athens and we brought them here. To Zandulia.

"Well that does explain a lot" The Doctor stated. "Apart
from the fact the planet wasn't empty and that you didn't run out of the Cure"

You were right!" Peri cried in shock at the disgusting behaviour of the gruff
man. "Yes, and what happend to the people of Zandulia. Probably got Gantronovak

Doctor and Peri turned and dashed out the parlour, Jak hot on their tail. "Quick

BANG, BANG. "Doctor they're still out there!" Peri cried. "Hang on" the Doctor

"Phew, that was close" sighed
Peri. "Indeed" replied the Doctor. "So where are we now?" "In the cargo room of

"Hurry up lad, we gottta go fix up the lights in

piloted the ship slowly round Earth's orbit. "Sir, repairs will be finished in
approximately 30 minutes" stated Jak, the Captains assistant and partner. "Thank
you Jak, you may rest in your room until repairs are done" "Thank you Sir" Jak
replied. As Jak left the room a tall man dressed in a long patch work coat
walked out of the darkness into the well lit bridge, just behind the Captain.
"Hello Captain" The Doctor said "Who are you!" The Captain worriedly cried as he
turned to see the intruder. "That doesn't matter just listen there isn't much
time, you need to get out of here, steer the ship away, go anywhere just not

now a Pirate fleet will attack resulting in a deadly virus getting loose. Please
just listen!" The Doctor begged "I, I don't understand..." All of a sudden a
large fleet of Pirates appeared just behind them. They could crush them at any
moment. "Go!" The Doctor cried. Quickly the Captain began rapidly flicking
switches and pushing buttons then he grabbed the wheel. The Pirates began to
close in from the right, pushing them towards the earth. The Captain pushed the
ship down and swerved underneath the Pirate ship and began pushing them towards
the Earth. "No! Keep them and you away from the Earth!" shouted the Doctor. The
Captain slowed slightly letting the Pirates in front and began chasing from
behind. "Doctor! Go now, get the crew and go!" cried the Captain. "No I'm not
leaving you to die here!" "Doctor its ok, go" he said. " Thank you, Captain,

he found Peri ordering people into the TARDIS. " Peri is that all of them!"
"Yeah!" She replied. "Then get in, NOW!" The Doctor shouted as they both ran

we are still here. I mean if we changed history then how come we still remember
it all?" Peri asked. "Paradoxes my dear Peri, Paradoxes" "Well oh well I'm going
